When the leaves started showing off their fiery reds and golden yellows, I got to do one of my favorite things ever—capture Dutch Schneeman and Emma Fuhrmann's engagement session in Franklin, Tennessee. It was fall 2024, the air was crisp, and the scenery looked like it was ripped straight out of a Hallmark movie. From the moment we started, I knew this session was going to be something special—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint.

Emma grew up in the entertainment industry and she’s basically a pro at working the camera. She nailed every shot like it was second nature—which, let’s be honest, it probably is. Dutch? He was equally amazing. I mean, who knew someone could be so laid-back, charming, and fun to work with all at the same time? These two were a dream team, making my job ridiculously easy and ridiculously fun.

We wandered through Franklin’s most picture-perfect spots, from sunlit fields that glowed like magic to tree-lined paths blanketed in colorful leaves. Emma’s incredible sense of style blended seamlessly with the fall vibes, while Dutch’s easygoing energy kept the session lighthearted and full of laughter. Whether they were sharing sweet moments under the trees or cracking up over an inside joke, their connection was undeniable—and, honestly, a little contagious.

One of the highlights? Watching them let loose and dance underneath the spray of a garden hose, laughing and spraying each other like kids. It was such a fun, spontaneous moment that perfectly captured their playful energy and deep connection. Those are the kinds of memories that make sessions like this unforgettable.

But the coolest part? This session was just the warm-up! I’m lucky enough to shoot Dutch and Emma’s wedding this March (2025), and if their engagement session is anything to go by, their big day is going to be absolutely unforgettable. I’m already counting down the days to head back to Tennessee and capture even more memories with them.

On a personal note, this trip hit a little differently. My family is moving to Tennessee, so I’m expanding my photography services to include Middle Tennessee, like Franklin and Nashville. After spending time there, I’m even more excited to work with more amazing couples in this beautiful part of the country. Tennessee, I’m coming for you—and I can’t wait.

To Dutch and Emma: Thank you for being so amazing and trusting me with your love story. You two are the real deal, and I’m beyond excited to celebrate with you again in March. To all my future Tennessee couples: Let’s make some magic together. Here’s to more love, laughter, and unforgettable moments in the Volunteer State!
